How this tool works

CPC shows the average amount paid for each click. The calculator divides campaign cost by clicks, then uses that CPC to estimate clicks from a budget and spend needed for a target click count.

Formula or template logic

cpc = cost / clicks; clicksPerCurrencyUnit = clicks / cost when cost > 0; estimatedClicksFromBudget = planningBudget / cpc when cpc > 0; spendForTargetClicks = targetClicks * cpc

Example use case

If a campaign costs 500 and generates 1,250 clicks, average CPC is 0.40. A 1,000 budget at the same CPC would estimate about 2,500 clicks.

Frequently asked questions

What does CPC mean?

CPC means cost per click. It is campaign cost divided by clicks.

Is average CPC the same as a bid?

No. Average CPC is what you paid on average. A bid is the amount you were willing to pay.

Can CPC be 0?

Yes, if cost is 0 and clicks are greater than 0. That usually means the clicks were free, organic, or entered without cost data.

Should I compare CPC alone?

No. CPC should be judged with click quality, conversion rate, CPA, and ROAS.

Why do clicks need to be greater than 0?

The formula divides by clicks, so 0 clicks cannot produce a CPC.
